Been going to this chip shop for many years, travelling from Darley Dale (which has its own very good chippie too). The ladies are always very pleasant and the chips are apparently cooked in vegetable oil which is why they are so delicious. The fish is always good too. Cannot recommend this place enough. It’s a pity that parking is always difficult.

Lovely local chippy! The chips are amazing! We drive half an hour to come to get these chips! The staff are very friendly and chatty! Staff are really friendly and the prices are good! Cash is preferred but they have got a card machine now but the signal is rubbish! Had fish and chips and batter sausage and chips for £13

I had chips battered sausage and curry sause fantastic tasting and is in my personal top 5 fish and chip shops. Polite and friendly staff and very quick service, Proper Derbyshire folk 👍👍

We travelled from Matlock to Cromford especially to try this chip shop, and we were not disappointed. The staff were friendly the moment we entered. The fish was perfect, as were the chips - best chippy dinner I've ever had. We'll be visiting again in the near future.

My dad used to take us to this chippy from us being young to us losing him 5 years ago , the best fish and chips ever . When ever we in the area now we always go for our fish n chips and a stroll down memory lane . In fact we off today for some .
The best fish and chip shop! We found this little gem a few years ago and we always love the drive to it. The crinkle cut chips are the best reminds me of my grandads chips. The staff are lovely too.

Most places locally this would have cost abou £12 and we got 2 large fish with chips and a fishcake and chips which my partner said was out of this world for £19. Been going here for 30 years and it's never failed me once on food and service only down side it only opens Thursday to Saturday and closes at 8pm but it's still the best chippy for miles and we travel 7 mile

This is an old-fashioned traditional chippy that takes me back to my younger days . It's a small establishment, no in-house eating takeaway only . Parking can be difficult as the area is very popular with visitors. If you are in the village and fancy a chippy and lucky to find a parking place, you are in for a treat. Lovely ladies giving good service and quality food 👌

The only criticism is the speed. I don't know how they prep for the 'tea time' customers so I can only comment so far, but we did wait an awfully long time for two trays of chips and gravy.
